Three Tours to Choose From

Townie Streets

Winding down Gower Street to Water Street, “Townie Streets” shares as many stories as you’re willing to hear! We’ll take you past our pastel houses, churches, our halls, and our shops. We’ll weave stories and facts as we go with plenty of photo ops along the way.

Info

Approx 60 minutes. Pick up at Postmaster’s House B&B, ends at Yellowbelly corner. This tour is downhill, and does involve stairs. $35pp

There is an option to be Screeched In at Christian’s Pub for an additional $32.50, based on availability. This is THE spot to be screeched in and become an honourary Newfoundlander!

All Around the Circle

Winding down Gower Street to Harbour Drive and back, we’ll take in as many sights as we’re able with a tasty surprise along the way. You’ll hear stories of the past, present, and future of our great city.

Info

Approx. 90 minutes. Pick up and drop off at Postmaster’s House B&B. This is an out and back tour: downhill on the way out, and uphill for most of the way back. $45pp

The Big Climb

Beginning in town, this tour will take you through the Outer Battery to the top of Signal Hill. Stories of fishing, pirates, and close calls, this is one of the best walks in the city, followed by one of the best hikes in the province. Be prepared to “stuff your eyes with wonder”. While Ray Bradbury wasn’t speaking of our beautiful province specifically, he may as well have been!

Info

Approx. 90 minutes. Pick up at Postmaster’s House B&B, drop off at Cabot Tower. This is a moderate to difficult coastal hike. The North Head Trail is 1.7km with a dramatic climb, some uneven footing, and many stairs. $45pp

""We got our steps in today, and well worth it!" - Phyllis, Mississauga, ON

About Your Guide

Your guide, Patrick Stuart

After visiting St. John’s for the first time in 2016, it became a goal of Patrick’s to move his family from Coast to Coast. The sea air and the stories had him hooked from the time he arrived.

Working in the travel industry for 17 years has afforded Patrick the luxury to travel around the world. Most recently, he’s had the honour of serving on the Board of Directors with the Newfoundland & Labrador Heritage Trust.

His passion for history and sharing the stories of the city make him an enthusiastic guide around town.
